ALVA Rainbow
Next-generation enterprise real-time remote guidance platform based on AR technology
Recently, ALVA Systems has once again won the bid for projects with the Southern Power Grid. Both parties have continued to engage in deep communication and cooperation, laying a solid foundation for the construction of the digital power grid.
The two projects that ALVA has successfully bid for are as follows: Project 23: Portable device and application for collaborative training of multiple personnel for cabinet operation and inspection based on AR technology, awarded by the Huadu Power Supply Bureau in Guangzhou. Project 29: Research on head-mounted inspection devices utilizing VSLAM (Visual Simultaneous Localization and Mapping) and optical waveguide principles for the perspective inspection of underground pipe corridors, awarded by the Haizhu Power Supply Bureau in Guangzhou.

Nowadays, the construction of the digital power grid by the Southern Power Grid is progressing rapidly, with Augmented Reality (AR) emerging as an important technological support for the intelligent upgrading of the digital power grid.
ALVA, leveraging advanced AR recognition technology and industry know-how, has once again partnered with the Southern Power Grid to intelligently upgrade typical operational scenarios within the power grid. Together, they are providing convenient and smart solutions to contribute towards the construction of a digital power grid.
ALVA's innovative AR application is empowering the intelligent upgrade of the power grid
▶ AR multi-user collaborative training
Power companies often encounter numerous challenges when training inexperienced employees. For example, complex technical concepts may be difficult for employees to understand, practical operations can be challenging, and there may be difficulties in effectively transferring skills.
Leveraging ALVA's innovative AR application, employees can seamlessly integrate learning resources such as power equipment into real-world scenarios. They can access clear and intuitive information about the equipment, its operational status, and engage in immersive skill training through virtual operation steps. Expert instructors can provide collaborative guidance and evaluate trainees in real-time. This approach not only helps employees efficiently acquire job skills but also digitizes training, assessment, and employee analysis processes.
▶ AR intelligent inspection
Underground cables have a more complex structure compared to overhead power lines, and faults are not easily detected. Maintenance and repairs of underground cables also pose challenges. Inspecting hidden infrastructure such as underground cables has always been a focal point and challenging aspect of the power industry's inspection work.
With the help of ALVA's innovative AR application, inspection personnel can monitor the real-time status and parameter information of underground tunnels. In the event of a fault or abnormality, employees can receive precise location details of the fault and operational instructions. If they encounter a problem that cannot be resolved on-site, inspection personnel can directly call for remote assistance from experts. This greatly ensures the timeliness and accuracy of line inspections and repair operations.
